lexie grey appreciation week | day four: favourite meredith/lexie moment (part 3)
MEREDITH: You’re the guy who used to pour my cereal in the morning. That’s it. That’s all I remember about you. You’re not my father. You’re just the guy who used to pour my cereal. And if you die, it probably won’t change my life that much. But, it will change hers. If you die, it will break her. And I’m not going to let you do that. I don’t know what it’s like to have a father. But I do know what’s it’s like to have a sister. And it’s good.
[text] It’s alright. I’m fine, for now. My head is just pounding.
Morgan gets Lexie into what she has begun to call, her on-call room. Morgan rolled up Lexie’s sleeve, “I’m going to give you a bag of fluids, alright? If you need anything else, you let me know.”
Morgan really hoped that Lexie was listening to her. She…
She dozed off finally, still squirming slightly. She really had needed it. There was way too much on her mind.
Morgan gets Lexie into what she has begun to call, her on-call room. Morgan rolled up Lexie’s sleeve, “I’m going to give you a bag of fluids, alright? If you need anything else, you let me know.”
Morgan really hoped that Lexie was listening to her. She wasn’t looking good at all.
Curling herself in a ball, she whimpered. “I can’t even sleep.” She twisted and tossed and turned. “Eurhg!”
“You okay Lex?” Morgan asked when she stumbled. She couldn’t believe that Lexie Grey had gotten so drunk, but Morgan completely understood those feelings and so much more.
She got back up, “Not.. Not really.” Her head was pounding, and she felt like vomiting, honestly.
Morgan smiled and took Lexie by the arm. They walked towards the hospital and Morgan planned on taking her directly to an on call room, grabbing the supplies for a fluids bag along their way.
She stumbled across the street, leaning on Morgan most of the time, and tripping once. “…Ow… Oops.”
When Lexie laid her head down, Morgan knew it was time to take her to the hospital and get her hooked up to a bag of fluids while she slept it off. ”Are you ready to go have that sleepover?”
She mumbled, already drifting to sleep. “Mmf… Okay.” She got up, groggy and yawning.

“Okay, we can call Meredith when you are ready,” Morgan assured her. ”So what else is new? How is your niece?” Morgan asked taking one of the drinks from Lexie’s hand and placing it on the bar.
“Zoooola? Oh, she’s adorable.” She laid her head on the bar counter, knocking a couple full glasses down.
